Operation Lap Wrap: Do you sew, knit, crochet, or quilt? Do you know someone that does?

Operation Lap Wrap is a good cause to get involved in. This is about the soldiers not the war.

If you love to create blanket/wrap please considered making a blanket to donate to them as your next project. Share the love!

Here's the information I copied from their web site so it's easier to read here.

Operation Lap Wrap mission is to bring a piece of the outside world to these Wounded Warriors.
The Lap Wrap is a symbol of warmth, security and caring.

The personalization gives it a feeling of home. Our Service members are sometimes flown into the hospitals in a gown; some go home with a hospital gown, and some with lost limbs. These Lap Wraps are a way to show that we are out here and we care. Your mission if you choose to accept it:

  1. Prepare a handmade Lap Wrap (no larger than 45x45) (any design or technique you choose)

  2. Put your name or your groups name on the item (permanent marker, embroidery, or a label)

  3. Attach a card/letter address it to the anonymous Service Member who will receive the item and have everyone involved sign the card.

  4. Send it to:
C/O: Operation Lap Wrap
562B N. Dixie Suite #3
Radcliff, Ky 40160

If you would like to help but, don’t know how to make a blanket, you can help USA Cares with this project by making monetary donations which will help with postage and handling.

If you need to purchase yarn for the project, La Knitterie Parisienne in Studio City is offering a 15% discount on the purchase of select yarns specifically for a Operation Lap Wrap blanket.
